Mscommlib Mscomm Windows 8 - Free Download Windows 8 Mscommlib Mscomm. Use SComm to quickly add Serial Communications capabilities to your applications. 32 Communications Control is intentionally designed to 'mimic' Mscomm.

I don't know that I would recommend this for a production solution, but since this is for a fun then you can still use the MSCOMM control from VB6 inside of a VB.Net application by adding a reference to it: 1.) Click on your vb project in the solution explorer, choose 'Add Reference' 2.) Click on the COM tab 3.) Select 'Microsoft Comm Control 6.0'. If you don't have it in the list then you can download the Microsoft Visual Basic 6 Common Controls () (you'll have to check the license out on those). 4.) Once you've added that reference you can use the MSCOMM object from Vb.Net by declaring it as a variable in your code: Dim comm As New MSCommLib.MSComm I tend to want to get everything working with.Net code as you end up having more power in the end, but there were some very easy to use VB6 controls and if you're just doing this for fun you can go this route if it accomplishes what you want and saves you time.:). Hello bpell, I have tried using the MSComm in VB.Net express 2008, and it seems that the event MSComm_OnComm doesnt fire:( I really dont want to use the SerialPort in the VB.net because i dont want to go into using delegates to update the interface. Hi, I have a program to read data from a electronic balance connected to serial port (COM 1), it works fine in Windows 7 (32bits) but not work in Windows 7 (64bits) environment. I have already do the 'regsvr32 mscomm32.ocx' in both 'c: windows system32' and 'c: windows syswow64' folder.
