I ended up finding a free version of Philz CWM touch and flashed that.that one worked. Not sure why the paid in-app version didn't do anything. Doesn't work I downloaded cwm, I own an lg optimus g e975 ( rooted) tried to go into recovery to do a nandroid backup and when I go into recovery there's no backup/restore. I also paid for the touch thing to support the developer and to see how that works and I want a refund on that cause it doesn't even work, at least for my phone ( As I have seen other people have no problem with that).
